As a high school English teacher and Twilight fanfiction beta, I see my fair share of errors in regards to the mechanics, usage, and grammar (MUG) of the English language. While I admit that the rules of the English language can be somewhat confusing--and occasionally, may even seem contradictory--I love them quite a lot. Because I am such a stickler for correct usage of punctuation and grammar, I playfully refer to myself as The Comma Nazi.
This blog is more for myself than anyone else as a means to rant, if you will, about my pet peeves. However, if it helps fledgling or confused writers to understand and improve their usage of these elements of the language I so adore, all the better!
It is entirely possible that someone may read my posts and take offense to what I have to say. That is his/her right. I won't be offended if anyone chooses not to read my little blog because he/she takes exception to what I post.
